Krishna Janmashtami will be celebrated on 2nd of September

The ‘Krishna Janmashtami’ is celebrated as on this day Lord Krishna was born. On September 1st it is going to be celebrated but in the India’s northern part it i schedule to be celebrated on 2nd of September. Due to the various regional calendars and Panchangs the variation in dates is seen.

On 1st of September ‘Krishna Janmashtami’ will be celebrated by the Smartha Brahmins and on 2nd of September by Vaishnava Brahmins ‘Krishna Janmashtami’ will be celebrated.

All over the India you will find different ways of celebration of ‘Krishna Janmashtami’.  The significant features of ‘Krishna Janmashtami’ are Raas Lila and Dahi Handi. Raas Lila is the legislation of Krishna’s life of youth, when he was known to flirt with young ladies (Gopis) of Vrindavan. As a kind of bit mischievous and also as bit flirtatious the image of Lord Krishna was. Dahi Handi is a game in which young boys team make a pyramid, to break the pot of butter hanging on the rope.
