This was the fifth time that Serena won this title, now by beating Justine Henin and winning this 2010 Australian Open title Serena Williams became the first women player to repeat as champion since 2002. Justine Henin on the other hand , was happy with her performance, she was satisfied with her play as she was making a comeback after 20 months of retirement.Justine Henin quit the game when she was at the peak on her career, so for playing in the tournament she needed a wild card entry.
