More than 4000 performances and 2000 performers are coming to entertain in this biggest and longest event “CHENNAI SANGAMAM 2010” from Jan 10th to 16th 2010. This is combinedly organized by Govt of tamilnadu, Dept of Tourism and culture and Tamil Maiyam.
The biggest performance of the event would be “PIRAPOKKUM” which means birth is same for all and in other words end the war and build religious harmony society. This performance will take place on the dais besides replica of great thanzavur temple with soothing narration from THERUKKUTHU artists. This will be choreographed by famous Prasannaswamy with more telling effect.
This event will take place in more than 14 various places in Chennai. The places details can be seen in www.chennaisangamam.com. This event also foodfestival, documentary film festival, Les Giraffes, and rural games as other attractions.
